STARBUCKS!!!!! xD

Comfort In A Cup

As a familiar taste,

They already know what you want

Due to your familiar face.

If now that is forlorn,

It won’t hold that way for long.

Just the scent and warm touch in hand,

Make the corners of your lips spontaneously stand.

Even supposing this day stood with bliss,

This favorable satisfying wish it is!

Like the icing on the cake, or the cherry on top,

It’s the perfect ending to the day you hoped would never stop.

I wrote this poem to express my love for Starbucks coffee company and there lovely costumer service. Recently I have frequented Starbucks at least three times a week, although I wrote this poem sometime in 2009. I’ve been drinking Starbucks beverages for about six years in total now. I even still remember the first drink I had from there at a Starbucks coffee shop in Norwalk, CT. I remember it like it was yesterday, this particular Starbucks had a drive through –rare among a Starbucks coffee shop- and there I ordered a caramel frappaccino, it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life. The only reason that I ordered it in the first place was because I had heard so much about Starbucks and that drink in particular. That moment is now one of best memories of all time. Since my love for Starbucks has grown much stronger.

I’ve been to over 15 different Starbucks locations, I’ve even been able to gain the “Barista” badge on this app called Foursquare: this badge is obtained through going to more then 5 different Starbucks locations in a limited amount of time. Many people say that they don’t enjoy Starbucks because their coffee is expensive. But as a loyal costumer I realize that even though their coffee is somewhat expensive, it has a fabulous taste and there are many other things on their menu besides coffee. Some of my favorites include, caramel macciato (iced or hot), caramel frappaccino, spiced apple cider (seasonal), ginger spice latte (seasonal), tazo shaken iced tea and lemonade (seasonal), red velvet cupcake (sold at select locations), and the giant cookies. For any person with a sweet tooth this place is perfect for them.

The thing that makes me smile most is the amazing costumer service. I am a well known costumer at two local Starbucks coffee shops. Both attend to me with amazing service. It isn’t to the point where they memorize exactly what I want, but that’s only because I change my picks often and I wouldn’t really expect them to. Although, they still make the greatest suggestions and always help me decide what to get if I’m struggling on making a decision. There have been many times, over the fall season, where I have walked into Starbucks, starred at the menu for ten minutes, and walked out empty handed. The reason for this is because of the falls unpredictable weather. I can’t decided if I should get iced coffee or hot coffee. If I were to iced coffee my hands might easily get cold, yet drinking hot coffee will make my body temperature uncomfortably rise. These are tough decisions to make while waiting in line with ten anxious people behind you. So I took my time out to write this poem as a thank you to Starbucks. <333 :-*
